Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about booking a Philippines tour with Go to Philippines, including private tours, package inclusions, payments, pickup times, weather, travel insurance, eTravel registration and cancellation conditions.

Booking & payments

How do I book a tour with Go to Philippines?

Choose your preferred tour package, select your travel date and number of guests, then send your request. We confirm availability, pickup details, inclusions and any important travel notes before final confirmation.

What currency are the prices listed in?

Prices on our website may be displayed in different currencies depending on your location or selected preference, using an automatic currency conversion tool for reference purposes.

All tour packages, services and local expenses are officially priced and settled in Philippine Peso (PHP). Any additional expenses incurred on-site, such as meals, souvenirs, optional activities, tips or personal purchases, should be expected to be paid in PHP.

We recommend guests bring sufficient Philippine Peso for personal and extra expenses during their trip.

What payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and PayPal.

All payments are processed through secure and encrypted payment gateways. Once payment is completed, a confirmation will be sent to you by email.

Please note that all payments are settled according to the package terms and conditions, and applicable fees may vary depending on your selected payment method.

Do foreigners pay a different rate?

Yes. Due to local permit and operational requirements, foreign nationals may be subject to an additional USD 25 per person surcharge.

Tours, packages & customization

Are the tours private or shared?

All our packages are private tours. You will not be grouped with other travelers, allowing for greater comfort, flexibility and a more personalized experience.

What is included in the package price?

Only services listed under “What’s Included” in each package are included. This typically covers private transportation, tours, guides, entrance fees and accommodations if included in the selected package.

Anything not explicitly mentioned is considered excluded.

Are meals included in the packages?

Meals are generally not included unless specifically stated in the package, such as picnic lunch during island hopping or selected day tours. Guests are free to choose where and what to eat unless meals are clearly listed as included.

Are flights included?

No. International and domestic flights are not included in any package unless explicitly stated. We recommend booking flights only after your tour is confirmed.

Are hotels included in all packages?

Hotel accommodation is included only if specified in the package. Some packages are tour-only unless booked with accommodation.

Can itineraries be customized?

Minor adjustments may be possible for private tours, subject to availability and additional costs. Please inform us in advance of any special requests.

If you want to build a more personal route across several islands, you can also start with our custom island escape option.

Are Philippines tour packages worth it?

Yes, especially for first-time visitors. Tour packages simplify logistics, help avoid planning stress and make island connections smoother.

Destinations & island planning

How many islands should I visit in one trip?

For a 7 to 10-day trip, visiting 2 to 3 islands offers a balanced and realistic travel pace. This gives you enough time to enjoy each destination without spending too much of your trip in transit.

Is island hopping easy in the Philippines?

Yes. With proper planning and pre-arranged transfers, traveling between islands can be smooth using domestic flights, ferries and local transfers.

What is the best time for a 10-day trip to the Philippines?

The dry season, from November to May, usually offers the best weather conditions for island hopping and marine activities.

Which destination should I choose for a first trip?

Cebu and Bohol are good choices for a first Philippines itinerary because they combine easier logistics, nature, marine life, culture and a good variety of private tours. Coron is ideal if your priority is island hopping, lagoons and dramatic scenery.

Pickup, transfers & support during the tour

What time are pick-ups?

Pick-up times vary depending on the itinerary. Some tours require early morning departures, sometimes as early as 3:00–4:00 AM. Exact pick-up details will be confirmed before the tour.

Where is the pickup point?

Pickup depends on the selected tour and itinerary. It may be from a hotel, airport, port or another agreed meeting point. The exact pickup location and time are confirmed before the tour.

Who do we contact during the tour?

You will be provided with local contact details before your tour. Our team and guides are available to assist throughout your trip.

Children, seniors & accessibility

Is there a discount for children, seniors or PWD?

Yes. The general rate guidelines are:

  • 0–3 years old: free of charge
  • 4–10 years old: 20% less than the adult price
  • 11 years old and above: adult rate
  • Senior Citizens and Persons With Disability (PWD): 20% less than the adult price, with valid ID required

Discounts are not cumulative.

Are the tours suitable for children or elderly guests?

Most tours are suitable for families. However, some activities involve early morning departures, swimming, snorkeling, boat transfers, uneven terrain or longer travel times. Guests should assess their own fitness and inform us in advance of any special needs.

Weather, safety & insurance

What happens if the weather is bad?

Tours involving sea travel or outdoor activities are weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe, tours may be modified, rescheduled or partially refunded after deducting non-recoverable costs.

Guest safety is always the priority.

Are snorkeling and water activities safe?

Yes. Snorkeling gear, life vests and licensed boat operators are provided when included in the tour. Guests must follow all safety instructions given by guides and operators at all times.

What should I bring for the tours?

We recommend bringing:

  • Swimwear and towel
  • Sunscreen and sun protection
  • Comfortable footwear or aqua shoes
  • Waterproof bag
  • Personal medications
  • Cash for meals and personal expenses
Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended. Guests are responsible for their own insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents, trip disruptions and personal belongings. Optional insurance may also be available at additional cost.

Cancellations, changes & travel disruptions

What is your cancellation policy?

All packages are generally non-refundable once confirmed. However, bookings may be rebooked if requested at least 7 days before arrival, subject to fees and availability. Bookings may also be transferred to another guest name, subject to applicable fees.

No-shows are non-refundable.

Can I change my booking date?

Rebooking may be possible depending on the tour, supplier conditions, availability and timing of the request. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change your travel date.

What happens if my flight is cancelled?

Flight cancellations may occur due to weather, government restrictions or airline operations. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover lost travel value.

While we will assist where possible, airline, hotel and supplier policies apply.

Where can I read the booking and cancellation terms?

Please review our booking, cancellation and travel conditions before confirming your tour.

eTravel registration for the Philippines

Is eTravel mandatory to enter the Philippines?

Yes. For most travelers, eTravel registration is required before arrival in the Philippines. It is the official online registration system used by the Philippine government for travelers arriving in and, in some cases, departing from the Philippines.

Requirements can change, so always check the official eTravel website before your trip.

When should I complete my eTravel registration?

You may register within 72 hours, or 3 days, before your arrival into or departure from the Philippines. Travelers are encouraged to present proof of eTravel registration before boarding their flight.

How do I register for eTravel?

You can register online on the official eTravel website by filling out the form with your personal information, flight details and accommodation address. Once submitted, you will receive a QR code that you should save on your phone and ideally keep as a printed backup.

What information do I need to complete eTravel?

Most travelers will need:

  • Passport details
  • Flight number and arrival or departure date
  • Accommodation address in the Philippines
  • Basic personal and travel information
What happens if I forget to register for eTravel?

If you do not complete eTravel before departure, you may be asked to register at the airport, which can cause delays or stress at check-in. In some cases, airlines may require registration before boarding.

Can Go to Philippines complete eTravel for me?

For privacy and security reasons, travelers must complete eTravel themselves because it involves passport and personal information.

However, we are happy to guide you on what to enter, especially your hotel details and destination information.

Do children need to register for eTravel too?

Yes. In general, all travelers, including children, must be registered. A parent or guardian can complete the registration for them.

Do I need eTravel for domestic flights inside the Philippines?

In most cases, no. eTravel is mainly for international arrival and, depending on current rules, international departure. Domestic flights such as Cebu to Bohol or Coron to Manila typically do not require eTravel, but airline rules can vary.

Do I need to print my eTravel QR code?

Printing is not required, but it is a good idea. A digital QR code on your phone is usually enough, but having a printed copy helps in case your phone battery dies or mobile signal is weak.

Is eTravel free?

Yes. eTravel registration is free of charge. Be careful with unofficial websites that may try to charge you.
